Lynda and I, our 9 granddaughters & 6 grandsons would like to welcome you to our home today and wish each one of you that are blogger readers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. It's snowing outside as you can see, by my view of the Temple and I have no windshields to do as of right now. So I thought it would be fun to let you have a little tour of what a wonderful job Lynda does in decorating our home for the holidays. I have given you a lot of pictures to look at and left out a whole bunch more not shown. There is not a spot in this house that Lynda has not put up some sort of decoration.
We send our love to all of you at this time when we think of what our Savior means to each of us and our families.............Merry Christmas to all...........Love, Blair and Lynda

Jack & Wilma Packer family reunion 2008
The Blair Packer family with Sue, Kurt and families not there.
The Randy Packer family with Randy too sick to come. All that was there are not in the picture with only Melissa and her family the only ones not able to attend. Living out of town sure isn't fun for attending a family reunion.
The Richard Packer family with Jackie and family missing. See ya next year for sure because your dad needs help to put the 2009 reunion on.
The Barry Packer family was few in numbers, Gardiner, Mckay, Jen and families were missed. Hope to see you next year.
Thanks to all that sent me back the survey. As you can see we played Packer Family Feud. With 48 people surveyed the number one answer worth 23 pts. is ? ? ? ? ? I had alot of fun and hope everyone did also. It sure brought back alot of fun memories about mom and dad's life with us there kids and grandkids.
Richard is in charge of next years reunion, the date will be August 15, 2009. For those that are out of town we sure hope you can plan a trip home at that time. And for all else please put it on you calender now and make sure nothing interferes with that date. We all really enjoyed every ones company.
Love ya all and thanks for your help. Uncle Blair

This is our daughter Sue Peebler, 39 years young, we are so proud of her...
Let me tell you about her, on June 1 2008 the place that she works part time is called Sorenson Communication. They are a nationwide company that is headquartered right here in Salt Lake City. They put out a challenge for all of there employees to be physically fit, and said that they would give as a prize, $500.00 to the first person that walked and ran to Disney Land from Salt Lake City , which is 680 miles. Everyone in the company was given the same opportunity. Sorenson's have 85 centers with app. 2500 employees through out the United States.
So on June 1st Sue started her trek to Disney Land by walking and running. Each employee was given (those that wanted) a walk monitor. Which would record the number of mikes you walked each day. Sue said that she would walk between 2 to 4 miles a day depending on how busy she was. But it would not record the running part, so you had to keep track and then each week email to the company what she had done. Besides running on her own she did the Burley Idaho Spudman Triathlon which was a 1 mile swim, 25 mile bike ride and 6 mile run. She also ran the Murray Fun Days 5K with the kids 1/2 mile run (she ran along side with Corbin for moral support). She did the Little Red Riding Hood 100 mile bike ride and the Logan M S 100 mile bike ride. Sue always said, I sure with that I could count some of this bike riding. Along with taking care of her 3 daughters and a husband, she has been one busy gal.
So today at 8:23 AM after her 10 mile run she emailed them that she had reached her goal, 680.7 miles. She thinks that she is the first one to reach Disney Land. Sue told me that in the last 3 days she's had to run 32 miles. You figure it out, from June 1st to August 13th is 74 days, divided by 680 miles is 9.1 miles per day walking and running. Boy am I tired just figuring it out..................
Sue, mom and I are sooooooooo proud of you...............What a great accomplishment............
In her email she told them that she wanted to fly home, no way was she going to run home. We'll let you all know what the final out come is. But we all feel that she won after talking to others that were doing it and those in charge. GREAT JOB SUE...............

#14 for Lynda and I........Oakley Mikelle Packer
Oakley delievered on August 4th 2008 at 5:15 PM. She weighted 7lbs 13 oz. and was 20 in. long. Her hair is very dark, just like I think Corys was when he was born. When Austin was born he was 3lbs 14 oz. Mikelle thinks that Oakley is huge. Well guess what, compared to her big brother she is.
Here she is, in a red (goUtes) bow that her dad choose for her. Go figure...... Darn cute....huh....

Sydney Kay Peebler 8 & Baptized
Sydney turned 8 on June 16th and was baptized August 2nd. I needed to blog her baptism because her mom, as wonderful as she is, is not a blogger.
Sydney is Lynda and my first grand child to be baptized. She's the first with only 13 more to go. As of right now.
Syd, grandma and I are so very proud of you. We love you very much.
Here Sydney in her new dress her mom bought, notice the wet hair look.

Spudman 2008, I have 2 children that are not to smart, and 3 in-law children that are not to smart either. But Lynda and I sure are proud of them....
July 25th, me, Lynda, Sue, John,Kevin,Lisa,Kim & A J met at Kim's house to head to Burley, Idaho to participate in there annal Spudman Triathlon on Saturday the 26th.
We had to stay at Jerome, Idaho which is 40 miles further than Burley because that was the only place that we could get some rooms. John might be not so smart because doing the triathlon but he sure was smart when he has already reserved us some rooms in Burley for next year. Good on you John.........
The swim is probably the least favorite of each one, but they all improved there swim times from last year. This year A J didn't swallow the river. We taught him to keep his mouth shut..
The bike ride everyone does a good job and doesn't mind it to bad but for Kev & John it's there strong suit......
The run is the best for A J, Sue & Lisa. They feel most comfortable doing the run. For Sue she has been running so much she cut off more than 15 min. off her overall time from last years event. She's almost to Disney Land. Good going Sue...........
Those that didn't participate, Me (real smart) Lynda (very smart) & Kim ( pregnant & very very smart). The not so smart ones did fantastic and we are so very proud of them. We are also very glad that now one drowned, fell off there bike of broke a foot or ankle. A 60 year old man from Provo drowned about half way through the mile swim.
Below are some pictures of the event. Hope you all enjoy.
